Action devoted to the International Day of Aged People was held in 26 branches of the company FINCA. During these days, our staff and the company in general received huge number of letters and oral messages with words of gratitude. Our officers were met with feeling of surprise and sometimes with tears in eyes of aged persons. Some of those people admitted that they got congratulation only from FINCA, and not their own kids; somebody said kind and sensitive words. But it was obvious, emotional impulse gained from this event and smiles of the clients, our staff will remember for long time.
From history of the Aged People Day: on December 14th, 1990, the UN General Assembly resolved to consider the 1st of October as the International Day of Aged People. Initially, the Day of Aged People was celebrated in Europe, than in America, and at the end of 1990-s – all over the world.
But the company FINCA already managed to transform this day in good tradition and congratulated the aged.
This year, over 500 clients of the company have received gifts and congratulations from FINCA over the country. Each of 26 branches of the company celebrated the aged people.
Additionally, branches of the company in Naryn and Tokmok helped to local custodial institutions. Ten elderly people reside at the Naryn institution, but conditions were created for them as at home due to regular support of the local citizens as well as the company FINCA. This year, these houses were repaired with a help of the company. In Tokmok custodial institution, 50 aged people got opportunity to watch their favorite movies and TV programmes. Now they have new DVD player and TV antenna.
In Bishkek, the Union of Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law-enforcement bodies have received assistance.
Such conditions should be established through common efforts that people not just live longer, but to make their life better, diverse and full bringing satisfaction.
