Today, on April 8, 2019, the Global Money Week to be held under the slogan “Study. Save up. Earn” started in Kyrgyzstan. It will be held in all the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and it will last till April 14, 2019.
The Global Money Week is a worldwide movement, its goal is to inspire children to increase their financial literacy by learning how to command their own finance correctly.
It was announced during a news conference by Almaz Sydykov, a member of the Management Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. He emphasized that it’s necessary for our children and youth to become financially literate citizens who understand how important savings are, and, developing certain skills, they will be able to manage their finance correctly in the future.
Throughout a week FINCA Bank will hold events of general education on financial literacy in the form of demonstration lessons at schools. Besides, the Bank will sum up the results of the nationwide contest “The most creative savings box” previously announced among all the schools of the country.
The high-profile ceremony of awarding the winners of the competitions is planned to be held on April 16, 2019 in the Youth center of Bishkek.
